New Hobby

Оригами - традиционное восточное искусство, некогда доступное лишь привилегированным сословиям,  но ставшее сегодня приятным увлечением для людей всего мира. Этот вид искусства в итоге заинтересовал и меня. :) Это занятие очень помогает в достижении душевного спокойствия, а так же развивает аккуратность, чего мне так не хватает!

В прошлом семестре я много жаловалась на то, что нигде не могу найти бумагу для оригами, зато после каникул мне подарили сразу 2 больших набора! Думаю, по окончании использования моих запасов бумаги я уже буду сенсеем.

Ну а пока что я нахожусь на самом старте!

Origami is the traditional Eastern art, which used to be accessible only for privileged estates, but now became a nice hobby for people all around the world. This type of art has tempted me as well. :) It really helps me to achieve the peace of mind, and to develop neatness, which I'm really lacking!

In the previous semester, I was complaining a lot about my failures to find origami paper. However, I've got 2 origami kits at once after my holidays! I think that I'm gonna become sensei by the moment of using the last piece of paper.

But right now I'm just at the starting point!

The Scottish Deer Centre

Мой субботний день прошел просто великолепно! На этих выходных я решила посетить The Scottish Deer Centre. Этот центр занимается в основном изучением, разведением и, собственно, сохранением различных видов оленей, а так же и других зверей.

Мои впечатления об этом месте крайне положительны, и лучших выходных, проведенных с чудесными животными, для меня наверное не придумаешь. На самом деле, если лично для меня и существует работа "для души", то она непременно была бы связана с подобной деятельностью. Я очень надеюсь и стремлюсь к тому, чтобы в будущем заниматься именно сохранением окружающей среды и видов.

Я безумно рада, что сегодня подобные центры распространены по всему миру, так как это позволяет спасти от вымирания множество животных, а так же помогает нам узнать о них побольше! ;)

My Saturday afternoon was just amazing! This weekend I decided to visit The Scottish Deer Centre. This centre is engaged in researching, breeding and, of course, protecting different kinds of deers and other animals.

My impressions about this place are very positive, and I can't think of better weekend than the one spent with wonderful animals. Actually, if there's a job for my soul, then it's definitely connected to such occupation. I really hope and strive to be engaged in animal conservation in my future career.

I'm very happy that such centres are widespread around the world, as it helps to save from extinction lots of specis, as well as it helps us to learn more about them!

Gift Mania

Мы любим в детстве получать подарки,

Как же нам приятно получать подарки, а вместе с ними и праздничное настроение! Но лично мне не меньшее удовольствие доставляет их дарить.

Так приятно провести свободный вечер в походах по магазинах в поисках той самой, особенной вещи для особенного человека. И как же это здорово в процессе узнавать поближе не только  персону, для кого предназначается праздник, но и саму себя.

А еще приятнее организовать свою маленькую "мастерскую" и провести в ней ночь под настольной лампой. Не зря же подарки ручной работы еще с давних времен славятся особой ценностью! Ведь именно в свое собственное дело ты выкладываешься целиком, собирая по крупицам все накопившееся внутри тепло!

Для меня подарки стали чем-то вроде хобби. Осмелюсь похвастаться, что пока что на моей памяти интуиция еще ни разу меня не подвела в этом деле! :)

И вот, когда подарок выбран и готов к празднику, со посвежевшими эмоциями можно смело отправляться в путь!

It is so pleasant to receive gifts along with festive mood! However, I personally enjoy giving them not less than receiving.

It is so pleasant to spend free evening shopping in search of this special thing for a very special person. And it is so amazing to get closer to not only the receiver, but also to yourself in the process.

And it is even more pleasant to organize your own "workshop" and spend night under your desk lamp. Not in vain that handmade gifts are famous for their value since ancient times! After all, you give all the best to your own work, collecting the crumbs of warmth from the inside.

Presents have become something like a hobby for me. And I dare to brag that my intuition never let me down!

So, when the gift is chosen and ready for celebration, you can feel free to hit the road with your refreshed emotions!

Blue Veil

Hey there!

I started to write poems in the beginning of my teen age. I would describe this period as my personal "Dark Middle Ages". That is why my writing began with gloomy mood and even some gothic admixture.

As the time passed, my personality and poetry had improved a lot, and the period of "Renaissance" luxuriantly blossomed in the youth. However, I think that mild melancholy is a special state that goes through all my creation and, perhaps, through most of my days. As for me, this feeling is sublime and inspiring, and that's what helps me to take most of my life.

And here's my new poem!

Tears

Thin fingers of the night have touched the ground

And bared soft women's tears under blue veil -

They have become the dew,

Which gently laid on grass,

And left the shining trail.

Thin fingers of the night have touched the ground

And hid severe men's tears under blue veil -

They turned into the sword,

Which melted in the forge,

And left the deepest wale.
